Tracey is an in-house fit model for Woolworths and Truimph (as well as a number of other suppliers) and is new to the Stormers Vodababe crew. She describes her first performance in front of a full house at Newlands as awesome and may be a tad nerve-racking. She has cycled the Argus 12 times, loves pizza and enjoys playing Monopoly in her spare time.

The younger sister of Stormers Vodababe Melissa Burke, Michelle studied dance at school and has performed in a number of Eiestedfords, shows and adverts. She joined the Vodababes at the beginning of 2009 and says that, if she wasn’t a dancer, she would be a singer. She prefers Brad Pitt over Ryk Neethling and Pizza over Sushi.

Shelley teaches Hip Hop and Cabaret and considers dancing in New York with renowned choreographers Mia Micheals, Wade Robson and Shane Sparks as the highlight of her career to date. She joined the Stormers Vodababes 3 years ago and represented the crew in a Sports Illustrated shoot in 2007. She loves baking cup cakes in her spare time and has a real soft spot for animals.

Tracy is the 6 time South African Ballroom and Latin American Dance Champion and has been to the finals of the World Professional IPDSC Latin American Championships. She teaches dancing in her spare time and 2009 is her first year with the Stormers. Her favourite thing about Cape Town is the scenery and the hospitality of the locals. She loves shopping and if it wasn’t for dancing, would consider a career in fashion.

Anneline is a professional model and freelance dancer. Originally from Durban, she has fallen in love with Table Mountain and describes dancing at Newlands as mind blowing. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dogs in Tokai Forest, shopping and having coffee with friends. To keep in shape, Anneline gyms at least five times a week, but that doesn’t stop her enjoying a meal of sushi whenever she can.

The best part of being a Vodababe, says Lindi, is not only performing at Newlands, but also performing at team events like the annual Kick-off Party. She has danced at the Edinburgh Arts Festival, performed in Bollywood shoots and done a TV commercial for Stimorol. She loves dancing more than anything and when not performing herself, she teaches dance to kids.

Melissa danced for the Stormers in 2006 and is back as a Vodababe in 2009. She has performed in Bollywood movies, in shows for Stormers kit apparel supplier adidas and has done work in Italian commercials. Outside of performing, she enjoys cycling, teaching dance, gyming and water skiing. If she weren’t a dancer, she would pursue a career in child psychology.
